Lets Begin

I am on a path to being healthy and happy in 2012. I have an amazing husband, family, and puppies! However, something is not perfect; my weight and energy. I feel so lethargic and mad everyday. I am mad at myself, mad at others for being so perfect and skinny. I am mad at myself because my self-control has reached an all time low since my wedding. I had lost over 20 pounds for my wedding. Weeks before I started back on the binge.

I began to lose weight because I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic (type 2). My dad has type 2. It is so scary to think of me having diabetes. It is something that I know I can prevent and must prevent. Fad diets are ridiculous; I realize this. There have been things that have worked and others that haven't.

I have three simple goals:
1. Be at my goal weight of 160-170 (I'm 6'0)
2. Eating Healthy with no fear of diabetes
3. Run a half-marathon or walk; Just finish!

I am a big fan of Jorge Cruise. I somehow trust former overweight people in helping me on my road to recovery. Food is my addiction! Jorge Cruise is the founder of the Belly Fat Cure. I know I mentioned fad diets are stupid, but this diet is something that allows me to enjoy eating and not concern myself with sugar. Basically, you eliminate the "bad" sugar and "bad belly" foods from your diet. It is great! I can have bacon but cant have milk. I can have bread but not too much. I am excited to run! I want to be that runner girl. Never have I wanted to be a fast runner, just run! Its great cardio, plus it is something that I can achieve despite having a minor disability. I have a club foot. I have had over 12 surgeries on it and have struggled and overcome so much; running cant be that hard.

My workouts will consists of Jillian Michaels video's kicking my A$$, youtube exercise gurus, pinterest post of workouts and running! Here's some inspiration and ideas I am going to definitely use.

So here I go a month late but a fresh start!

A New Beginning

Hello!


My name is Kate and this is my blog. I was inspired to begin through some of my favorite blogs. Fashion has always been an interest of mine. Health as now become a priority. This is an insight into my life.


I have several loves:
1. My husband

I wuv my husband, R. We have been together over three years and are the best of friends. He is my geek and an amazing chef. I am the luckiest girl in the world. 

2. My Puppies

Moe and Bleu are my babies. They are a total mix of awesomeness. They are still puppies and we have our troubles but they are so darn cute, I cant stay mad at them at all! Bleu is submissive and a big bear. He is commonly known as Bleu bear, bleu cheese, baloo (like the jungle book). Bleu will cuddle and has learned so many tricks. Moe is my trouble maker. He is fascinated by everyone and everything. His droopy eyes melt my heart. He is also our fat man that can usually be found by the fridge or in the fridge!

3. My mom and dad

My parents are great and have been a strong force in my life thus far. They are the best! My parents have taught me to be strong and confident.  Clearly my mom is my best friend, she's a hoot!


4. Handbags

I have an unhealthy obsession with handbags! Its a problem! I love unique bags and statement bags. Right now this bag is peaking my interest, with a purchase in my near future. Originally its a camera bag, but it will be a great everyday tote! It comes in awesome colors! I cant decide on just one :)


5. Bacon
I love bacon. I could eat it everyday. It can go with ALMOST anything, I think.


6. iPhone

My iPhone is my other half. Its a 4 but I am wanting my own SIRI. The white is so classy and clean! I had a Kate Spade cover but broke it :( Now there is an owl case on its way :)!


7. Nail Polish

I adore a good nail color. I feel especially glamorous and girly when I have it on. Purples and pastels are my favorite.


8. Owls

Owls are amazing. They are shy creatures but so beautiful. I love them on anything. I have a small collection but want more home decor with owls. 


9. Ebay

It is simply amazing! I sell and buy! I can get such great deals...its quite amazing.


10. Keys

Keys are vintage and unique. Each one has a story and I love that!
